Co-Founder & Financial Aid Specialist

Zainab is a senior at Rutgers University majoring in biotechnology and minoring in biochemistry. She is currently working in a biotechnology research lab focusing on treating the White Nose Syndrome affecting bats in North America. After college, she plans to focus on education and healthcare reform. Zainab helps high school students apply for financial aid through FAFSA. She also tutors current college students in STEM.


Co-Founder & Tutor

Georgia is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science at Brown University. She has a college GPA of 3.9+ and an LSAT score above the 99th percentile. She helps high school students with their college essays, supplemental essays, and college search process. She also tutors college students in writing, politics, and LSAT prep.


CFO & Tutor 

Vaish is student in the College of Engineering at Cornell University. After scoring a 36 on his ACT, Vaish interned at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. Vaish assists with the financial aspects of running College Approach, offers ACT tutoring, and helps students find suitable internships.


Board Member 

Hamza serves on the board of directors at College Approach. He is a student at Georgetown University and is knowledgable about testing and the transfer process. His SAT score falls in the 99th percentile. 



Pranav is a Dean’s List student at Northwestern University, pursuing degrees in journalism and political science at the Medill School. Away from school, he’s a prize-winning freelance reporter, and formerly a nationally-decorated debater—ranked within the top five teams countrywide.


Tutor & Financial Aid Specialist

Janki is a sophomore at New York University's College of Arts and Sciences. She is majoring in Nutrition & Food Sciences and helps students apply for federal grants and loans. She also helps students pick out their majors.


Educational Consultant

Dr. Barnes-Johnson is a progressive science educator interested in issues of equity in the science learning space. She has more than fifteen years experience in curriculum, assessment and professional development. She currently teaches at Princeton High School. Dr. Barnes-Johnson helps pair students with tutors from College Approach.


Educational Consultant

Ayesha is a special education teacher at Foundations Academy.  She teaches Algebra and English at the high school level and is passionate about educational reform. Ayesha helps the College Approach team compile lists of relevant scholarships for their students. She is also knowledgable about the financial aid process and helps students appeal their decisions.
